The last few premieres on Netflix have been awesome. House of Cards redeemed itself from its last season, and Daredevil is fantastic so far. Funny enough, there aren’t many summer films to look forward to. Everything is either being released this Spring or is coming out in the Fall. Other than the Superhero films, there is another big name movie that’s definitely going to set records. The Jungle Book hits theaters April 15th and is entertaining for the whole family. On an entirely different note, a not-so-family friendly movie called Keanu comes out April 29th. This is one of those hit or miss films in terms of comedy. It is about Key and Peele retrieving their stolen kitten from a gang. Of course the expectations aren’t high, but I’m going to see it anyways because it’s about a cat and one of the greatest comedic duos out right now.
Since the theaters are not in full bloom at the moment, my recommendations will be a little different this month. With the trend of nostalgia and 90’s kid memes, here’s a list of great 90’s movies that are streaming on Netflix:
Clueless (1995) I hate/love this movie but I’ve come to enjoy it.
Wayne’s World (1992) This is basically a classic.
The Addams Family (1991) Young Christina Ricci is adorable.
Tommy Boy (1995) Chris Farley would’ve been one of the greatest comedians of this generation. Fun fact: He was originally the voice of Shrek. They had to replace the parts he had already recorded with Mike Myers.
